After-school design workshops are being run once a week in three South Lanarkshire secondaries until Christmas as part of an ongoing council project allowing senior pupils to work with professionals. Specialists in jewellery, textiles and product design are giving practical support, inspiration and advice to pupils studying for art and design exams.

This year’s project will culminate in an exhibition of pupils’

work, which they will curate with the help of staff at the National Museum of Scottish Country Life in East Kilbride.
