Harvey case lifts lid on behaviour

I can only assume from Mr Kelly’s editorial that he hasn’t spent much time in the classrooms of a modern comprehensive.

But then as he apparently goes on to take Ofsted’s word on behaviour these days - well, ‘nuff said. Presumably the 250 per cent increase in calls to the Teacher Support Network last week (“Pupil attack case prompts tense teachers to bombard helpline”, May 7) is just part of the “statistical muddle” he mentions rather than real teachers from real classrooms who suffer due to the poor behaviour of their pupils.
