Having a boccia ball

(Photograph) - Pupils at Aboyne primary in Aberdeenshire ended their health week with an inter-age boccia competition, a game that resembles bowls which was introduced to involve all children in indoor activity.

Disabled children can also take part. The game is big in the United States with disabled groups and can be played one to one, in pairs or with teams of three. It can improve hand-eye co-ordination. Photograph by SIMON PRICENEWSLINE SCOTLAND
