THE head of a top-performing school was suspended this week. Governors at St Clement's high school, near King's Lynn, Norfolk, wrote to parents explaining that Richard Wealthall had been suspended pending an internal investigation into "management issues". Mr Wealthall was praised by the Prime Minister two years ago after the number of pupils achieving at least five Cs at GCSE doubled in three years.
