A US non-profit organisation has launched a video game, Re-Mission, to help young cancer patients better deal with their illnesses and treatments.

HopeLab, based in Palo Alto in America’s Silicon Valley, is supported by Pam Omidyar, wife of eBay co-founder Pierre Omidyar. It describes the venture as “a unique collaboration between researchers, leading video game developers and animators, cancer experts, cell biologists, psychologists and young people with cancer themselves”.
