Highland has lodged a planning application for its first sustainable school, a pound;2.4 million replacement for Acharacle primary in Ardnamurchan. The aim is to have “a healthy, naturally ventilated building that maximises energy efficiency and the use of local materials, while ensuring that it blends with its surroundings”.
