Elsie’s War tells how the Leitz camera factory near Frankfurt (makers of Leica cameras) helped Jewish workers and Ukrainian slave labourers.

Elsie Kuhn-Leitz, daughter of the founder, Ernst Leitz, was imprisoned by the Gestapo, but released after a ransom was paid.
