A TEACHER injured while performing a hop-scotch jump in a dance class has lost a pound;13,000 compensation claim. Laraine Hill, a 51-year-old teacher at Crook primary, near Bishop Auckland, ruptured her Achills tendon during a training session that was set up in response to inspectors’ criticism of Crook’s dance teaching. She sued Durham County Council but her claim was rejected by the Appeal Court.
