Geography competition poses key question

Would any of your pupils like to be named Young Geographer of the Year 2011? The Royal Geographical Society (RGS) is accepting entries for this year’s competition, run in conjunction with Geographical Magazine, until 7 October.

This year, the question to answer is: “What should every good geographer understand?” Visit www.rgs.org for more details.

The RGS is also joining up with TES Resources to share valuable articles from “Geography in the news”, the RGS’s topical geography resources which provide support for pupils and teachers through case studies, links to academic research, lectures and much more.

These resources have attracted more than 25,000 views to date and are a great source of inspiration for teachers and pupils alike.
