Training videos to support literacy
Crick Software, which supplies word processing tools with in-built literacy support, has launched a series of online training videos to help teachers get to grips with its WriteOnline program. The 90-second videos provide step-by-step instructions so teachers can customise the software for pupils’ needs. To access the videos, visit http:bit.lyiwUqMY School communication on the move Groupcall, which specialises in parental and pupil communication, has now integrated its contact system, Messenger, with its mobile application, Emerge. This means schools can take registration from mobile devices while in the gym or on the playing field, communicate with parents while on a school trip, or send an emergency message in case of evacuation. Internet safety for iPads Cloud computing company Westcoastcloud has launched a new security product to protect pupils’ safety while using Apple iPads. Teachers or administrators will be able to block harmful or inappropriate content centrally.
