ICT in the curriculum

Any teachers interested in ICT should keep an eye on the National Curriculum in Action website of the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority. This excellent site provides exemplar work from pupils to point to curriculum expectations across the different key stages, showing activities that have been stimulated by the programmes of study. Now the QCA is extending support for teachers out from ICT as a discrete subject to encompass ICT across other subjects. The range of the schemes of work is being expanded as well as the examples of good practice, and much thought has been put into making the site a major support and inspiration for teachers. You can register with the site so that it can “learn” your interests and present you with your “portfolio” when you visit. The QCA is at the BETT this week.
