Most schools’ half terms fall before the campaign week, but in time for the annual Imagine children’s literature festival on London’s South Bank. Book soon on 0870 160 2522 to see authors including Roger McGough, Lauren Child (in a session for six-year-olds and over, focusing on her latest book, The Princess and the Pea) and Geraldine McCaughrean (pictured), who will be speaking to 12-year-olds and above about The White Darkness, last year’s novel shortlisted for the Whitbread Children’s Book of the Year. There is also a rare chance to catch Australian author Morris Gleitzman.
