I note with interest your report last week “Science makes detectable progress”, on the progress of the primary sector in the teaching of science over the last few years.

I would like to point out that the “improving science” 5-14 project not only includes continuing professional development and the recently published exemplar resources from Learning and Teaching Scotland, but also the Improving Science Education 5-14 website which has played a major part in online support for primary teachers in science since 1999.

The site continues to support teachers in their planning by providing easy access to a wealth of teaching resources.
