Inclusion can occur anywhere

* I am writing following a letter from Bert Massie of the Disability Rights Commission (over worries that new exam rules will be unfair to deaf students) ("Why set up the deaf to fail?", TES, July 7).

The Qualifications and Curriculum Authority and the commission has made no final decision on the future of "certificate indications" (special provision for disabled candidates) and we are working with organisations that represent disabled people to decide the best way forward.

I can assure you that the QCA is committed to ensuring that no disabled candidate is discriminated against.
