The Mathematical Association’s Primary Mathematics Challenge aimed at the top 60 per cent of UK pupils aged nine to 11 takes place in November. Teachers order the multiple-choice test in packs of 10 costing pound;5 and are responsible for setting and marking it and can award gold, silver and bronze certificates to pupils. The most successful will take a tougher multiple-choice paper for the PMC finals in February.
