The principal of a Sarajevan school for 7 to 14-year-olds has contacted the Healing Hands Network with a request for exercise and text books and help in creating a language laboratory (120 of the 1,200 pupils lost their fathers in the recent war and 90 per cent of the parents who survived are without work, so there is no income for equipment). Readers wishing to help can fax the school on 00 387 71 652297 or contact Noel Hulmston of HHN on 01352 713238, who can arrange to transport items to Sarajevo.
