Funding is available through the Central Bureau for UK teachers and heads from schools, special schools and further education colleges to undertake short visits to a partner school in any country to set up a curriculum-based partnership or develop an existing link. Also available are opportunities under the European Union’s Socrates programme for schools and colleges to undertake joint, curriculum-based projects with European institutions. Comeniu Language Projects, for example, involve students aged 14 to 25 in projects lasting up to one year, which include a reciprocal two-week exchange to develop their language skills and carry out work with their partners.
