Children who return to school after head injuries are getting “lost in the system” and falling behind classmates because of a lack of support, according to research.

A Warwick university study found children who suffer bad brain injuries rarely get specialist help at school though many have attention and memory problems. More than 3.000 UK children suffer significant brain damage each year.
