Inquiries into exam results rise

The number of inquiries about GCSE and A-level results in England, Wales and Northern Ireland rose by 19 per cent last year, according to new figures released by the exams watchdog, Ofqual. There were 204,608 inquiries this year, compared with 171,720 in 2010, but the number of entries also rose by 38 per cent amid a significant revision of the exam structure.
