They must know something we don’t. The worldwide brotherhood of secondary heads, meeting in New Zealand over Easter - someone’s got to meet there - had a startling revelation for the Scottish contingent.

They noted from the delegates’ list that the UK “principals”, as they are known internationally, included the visiting heads from England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Scotland, on the other hand, was a separate country. It’s time, it’s time.
