YOUR correspondent wonders if university entrance depends on whether an applicant’s school has weapons of mass instruction (TES, March 14).

Roman Catholic schools specialise in mass instruction; does this give them an advantage or disadvantage and are others left without a prayer? Have inspectors yet found and destroyed anybody’s weapons of mass instruction? It’s a tough world.
