Inspectors were a real treat

Our school was inspected in March 1996.
Throughout the inspection week and in the few weeks of preparation beforehand, I was impressed by the thought, sensitivity and professionalism of the team, and in particular that of the lead inspector.
At no time did any of the staff feel “victims” of an unfair system. Indeed, despite the fact that they felt under pressure to show the school at its best, they all paid tribute to the visiting inspectors for the way that they carried out the inspection.
Banstead staff were able to respect the inspectors as they were obviously experienced in primary education.
