Institute trio books prizes

Authors from London university's institute of education have taken the top three prizes in this year's Society for Educational Studies book awards.

First prize went to Education and the Middle Class by Sally Power, Geoff Whitty, Tony Edwards and Valerie Wigfall, with second prize going to The class size debate: Is small better? by Peter Blatchford. Ronald Barnett's Beyond all reason: Living with ideology in the university was highly commended.
