WHAT are the relative chances of your pupils doing well at GCSE this year? A GCSE A* pass is an evens bet for pupils taking Greek, but is an 84 to 1 shot for those following a social science syllabus. And, if more than half of your school’s

double-science pupils have been getting a C or better, they are slightly ahead of the national average.

A national table of passes in each subject category and at each grade over the past seven years has been compiled for Internet users b Somerset teacher Brian Stubbs. Brian works at Sexey’s School and combines his teaching with statistical consultancy work with individual schools and local authorities.
