Irish teachers ready to strike

The largest teachers' union in Northern Ireland is ready to boycott covering lessons for absent colleagues as part of its dispute over regaining equal pay with England and Wales. The boycott is due to start on March 15, following a National Association of Schoolmasters Union of Women Teachers poll which showed that 79 per cent of its Northern Irish members favoured strike action.
