Isle may pilot term revolution

THE Isle of Wight could become a test-ground for plans to revolutionise the school year.

The Local Government Association commission on the school year is speaking to the island’s education authority about unning a pilot.

But Alan Kaye, Isle of Wight’s education director, said it would be “two or three years” before proposals such as a five-term year could be tested, after widespread consultation.
