It’s official. Ann Hill has revealed, exclusively to The TES Scotland, of course, that when she quit the Scottish School Board Association it was not of her own making.

It was a decision taken “by what I might refer to as a clique and by one man in particular”.

Could this be the revelation we have all been waiting for - the outers outed?

Alas, she added: “Of course, I am referring to my four children and my husband David.”

With possibly one eye on past travails and another on a hope she may spend more time in her garden, Hill commented: “It will be a relief to work for a committee of one and, just like the first six years of working with SSBA, I don’t expect to get paid for it.”
