Your story (“Sun, sea and cockroaches”, 24 February) correctly highlights that people must research the various options overseas. There are some fantastic schools around the world and they provide a wonderful, mobile profession for those who would like it. I have taught overseas almost all my career for a mixture of private companies and governments; the only employer who tried to change the terms mid-contract was a proxy of the British government in one of its dependent territories.
