Pierre-Auguste Renoir's Boating on the Seine, which he created around 120 years ago, is one of the paintings on display as part of a National Gallery exhibition that explores how famous artists have used light in their work. Admission to the exhibition, entitled Light, is free and it runs until October 6. The work of other artists, including El Greco, Rembrandt, Goya, Turner, Seurat and Monet, will also be on display.
