Since Jackie Bolton joined Court Moor school in Fleet, Hampshire, 18 months ago, she has revitalised interest in RE Paul Sills has been teaching for 35 years but he says no one compares to Jackie Bolton, who gets this week’s flowers, champagne and chocolates. “I have never met anyone as dynamic,” he says. “She’s a brilliant teacher, she’s very creative and the kids take to her.”

When she arrived at Court Moor as head of the RE department, there were no students taking the subject for GCSE.
