Jeans are not a human right

THE incorporation of the European Convention on Human Rights into Scots law should have no bearing on the wearing of school uniforms, the Deputy Education Minister says.

Peter Peacok told Brian Monteith, the Tories’ education spokesman, that school uniforms operate in state schools and it was “difficult to envisage” how the Convention could be infringed.
