Netherlands. A Dutch business school plans to guarantee students, including undergraduates from Britain, a job if they complete their courses on time. The scheme starts in September.

In a joint venture with a leading temporary-employment company, Hogeschool voor Economische Studies of Rotterdam will offer 800 graduates a year a permanent job, which will be “in line with their qualifications”. If it fails, the students will have their Pounds 3,500 tuition fees refunded.

“There are currently some 30 British students attending the college’s European business administration course, who will be offered employment in Holland or Britain,” a spokesman said.
