Are your pupils able to tell their sines from their cosines or their median from their mean? Loughborough University has produced a pair of excellent pocket-sized cards, one for GCSE and one for A-level. The Math Cards unfold into a double-sided sheet of roughly A4 size, covered with formulae, definitions and mind-jogging diagrams. The simpler version covers everything from the graphs of common functions and the properties of circles to simultaneous equations and the laws of probability. The advanced alternative adds topics such as the binomial theorem and the rules for differentiation and integration.
