I greatly enjoyed Ted Wragg’s denunciation of the Office for Standards in Education (TES, September 3). But I’m afraid his Latin is dodgy. The quote from his fellow satirist, Juvenal, should read, “quis custodit ipsos custodes?” and not, “quis custodiet ipsos custodies?”. However, as Virgil pointed out, “non omnia possumus omnes”. We can’t all do everything.
