The half-term break in autumn is perhaps the most anticipated of all the school holidays. Falling as it does in the middle of the longest term, with teachers getting used to new schools, new classes and new syllabi, it can’t come too soon.
To celebrate, on Monday TES Connect launched a little Twitter competition. Using the ever-popular #teachersholidaysarewelldeserved hashtag, we asked our followers to submit pictures of what the autumn half-term means to them.
Hundreds got involved, helping us paint a picture of how the greatest profession is spending its much-needed week off. Here we’ve collected a few of the best submissions. Any included below can consider themselves winners of a shiny new TES mug, the lucky things.
