Glasgow and Dundee are to remain twin sites for Learning and Teaching Scotland, ministers have concluded. A new head office in Glasgow is likely.

The organisation was formed in July 2000 by the merger of the Scottish Consultative Council on the Curriculum, based in Dundee, and the Scottish Council for Educational Technology, based in Glasgow.

Bernard McLeary, education director in Inverclyde, takes over as chief executive in the summer from Mike Baughan who is retiring.
