Ken Boston, the straight-talking head of the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority, treated the audience at the Secondary Heads Association conference in Harrogate to a word-for-word repeat of a speech he gave to a joint SHA, National Association of Head Teachers and Association of Colleges conference and a separate NAHT secondary conference earlier in the month.
