Governors are key to the implementation of the Government’s five-year education strategy, Derek Twigg, the new education junior minister, said this week.

Launching a document, Governing the school of the future, Mr Twigg said:

“It is time we celebrated and highlighted the work being done by governors.” The booklet gives examples of good practice.
