THE new split-site denominationalnon-denominational school in Cumbernauld in the best education authority in the universe (North Lanarkshire, for those not in the know) is now up and running.

A local poet of the staffroom school of ancient rhyme has come up with this succinct verse, in local patois, to describe the new ecumenical seat of learning:

“Half Tim, Half Prod, Our new school in Cumernod.”
