King banned I

Last week, the Diary had fun with the news that Professor Sir Bernard Crick, the godfather of citizenship education, was going to the tiny Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan on his hols and that "the tour guide has promised the King 10 minutes with me, or vice versa". Sadly, Professor Crick writes to inform us that "alas for the king" he had cancelled his trip for personal reasons.
