Susan Leslie, head of Colinsburgh primary in Fife, is to take charge of the education department at the Church of Scotland following the retirement of the Rev John Stevenson. Ms Leslie, aged 40, is an active member of the Professional Association of Teachers and represented the union on the McCrone talks.
