A TEENAGE jazz group was booed at a Labour party conference fringe meeting, attended by Culture Secretary Chris Smith, after delegates heard the group was from a private school. “The girls were surprised and a little disappointed. It’s not the normal reaction, but they were philosophical about it,” said deputy head of Bournemouth’s Talbot Heath school, Richard Robinson.
