Labour’s plan for family learning

Foster grandparents and health visitors providing educational materials for new parents are part of a six-point Home-Start plan for family learning drawn up by the Labour party.

Retired people would be encouraged to become foster grandparents while health visitors would offer advice on early child development and ante-natal classes would include parenting skills. These techniques would also be taught in secondary schools.
