Lack of evidence;Letter

MICHAEL Barber writes of this year's KS2 tests, "They are incontrovertible evidence that primary education is improving rapidly."

They don't prove anything of the sort, and we all know it.

First, the English marking thresholds were lowered, making it easier for children to achieve level 4.

Second, where is the evidence to show that standards in art, geography, history, information technology, music, PE and RE are improving? Or do we not teach these now?
