Lancastrian venue for ASE

The Association for Science Education is holding its 1995 Annual Meeting from January 5 to 7 at Lancaster University. It is anticipated that some 4,000 visitors from 40 countries will attend the fair, which offers a programme of around 300 lectures, seminars and workshops, as well as the largest exhibition of science educational books and equipment in one venue in the United Kingdom.

A major theme this year is genetics, and a selection of events sponsored by the Wellcome Trust will explore different aspects of this controversial area. There will also be opportunities for discussing the new science Order in the national curriculum, with members of the School Curriculum and Assessment Authority on hand to answer questions.
