Leaders plan their own network

ONE hundred of the country's top headteachers met this week to help set up a national network of 500 school leaders who could soon be advising ministers on education policy. A record of success, innovation and creativity is needed for the elite network: membership is by invitation only, based on recommendations by the Office for Standards in Education, education authorities, headteacher associations, the Department for Education and Skills and the General Teaching Council for England.
