Another role for mobile phones is on the way as Learning and Teaching Scotland urged their use to learn languages. Mobile phones are banned in many schools as a source of disruption, but LTS says: “The power in students’ pockets is not to be underestimated, and one subject where mobiles could make a real difference is modern languages.”
