Lembit Opik, leader of the Welsh Lib Dems, hinted that a post-election LabourLib Dem alliance in the Assembly should not be ruled out, in a speech to delegates at last week's annual conference. But Mike German, the party's Assembly leader, told delegates: "Between now and May, let me make it clear. No deals. No discussions. No distractions."
