Holland Park School’s ambitions and achievements are recognised and supported by those who expect schools to give the highest priority to the achievement and success of their students.
It is a great pity therefore that so much space has been given over in your paper to the views of a disgruntled minority who do not seem able to accept the decisions appropriately made by the school. The introduction of uniform and the others changes in the school have been brought in following healthy debate and are consistent with national and local developments in education that have led to demonstrable improvement.
The schools in Kensington and Chelsea have an enviable record of progress and achievement, and it is my intention that Holland Park becomes, like so many of this LEA’s schools, among the best in the country.
