Letters extra: How many errors went unnoticed?

The problem of errors appearing in public examination question papers has arisen again. The more interesting question is - how many more remain undetected? The increase in results appeals is an indication of that. As always with education the solution is simple - reduce the range of subjects and in particular course-work. The net result is a more accurate indication of educational standards in the UK.
